Telco Sales Foreign Voltage Detector (FVD) tests for potentially hazardous AC voltage that may be encountered by technicians in the low voltage and communication industries. The FVD warns technicians of hazardous voltage without contacting the electric source.

The FVD provides a visual indication of the amount of AC being detected on a 10-step bar graph. An audible alarm will sound if the detected AC voltage exceeds 50 volts.

It is recommended that every technician should have a TEL-W1BU with each FVD.

    This tool is invaluable and necessary for anyone in the telecommunications field.  During restoration work in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence this tool saved my life.  I went to work on the low voltage fiber. I used my FVD and the messenger wire was energized!  Little did I know that several spans down the road a tree limb had brought the high voltage wires and were sitting on the low voltage ones.  I will never perform low voltage work with out this tool! Thank you!!!
