Super convenient March 21, 2022 Reviewer: Micah from Bend, OR United States   My employer supplies us with separate rg6/11 strippers. This cleared up some space in my tool pouch. I don’t know why they do not issue these instead. It strips better than the cable prep ones we are issued. For $22 it’s a no brainer. The braid brush is pretty useless though  haha. I could see it being useful for the flooded cable that’s been sitting in the weather for years but other than that I don’t see a point. Ripely makes good products. My stand alone rg6 stripper from my directv days is about 1.5 yrs old and still works better than the cable prep. Plus it has the length stop for the correct length of the center conductor. Idk just buy it already.. or don’t I don’t care lol Was this review helpful to you?

Still prefer CablePrep Strippers. October 5, 2021 Reviewer: RFGuy from Reading, MI United States   I've always preferred the CablePrep tools for stripping coax because they always make a clean right angle cut on the cable. This new Cablematic tool looked very similar in design, so I wanted to give it a try. While it performed better than many tools I’ve tried, it still didn’t always make the clean straight cut I’m accustomed to. Any time the cut is not clean and straight it can lead to problems. i.e., the grounding braid too long and not cut cleanly. Long braid can wrap around the center conductor and or bunch up as the connector is pushed onto the cable. Both problems can cause multiple symptoms which may not be noticed immediately leading to intermittent problems later. While this Cablematic tool is better than many I’ve tried, it still lacks the consistent performance of the CablePrep CPT tools. Was this review helpful to you?
