PCT's HD PocketView auto-scales any signals to 1080p and works with most popular STB units up to 4 K / 60 Hz. When connected, the source EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) sends appropriate signals to the HD PocketView to decode. Technicians will close work orders faster with the HD PocketView, validating services / tiers even on new installs lacking displays. Portable and rugged, this small, battery powered device also eliminates the need to carry around bulky TVs.

Helpful Tool, WAY Overpriced	August 5, 2021

I was using a $50 7" monitor from Amazon with external battery pack but needed one that was more compact, a little rugged and battery powered. This unit fit the bill perfectly and I couldn't find something like it anywhere else, which I definitely tried first because it is obscenely over priced. It does serve my purpose well with the exception of HDMI port being on the bottom making it impossible to stand the monitor on its bottom while you use it which is such a weird design oversight, so it's always awkward to set it somewhere to view while you work. Still the tool has improved my life. But I may never get over paying so much more than it's worth.

I've been in communications and technology for about 16 years, and troubleshooting video issues has always been a little time consuming. This has reduced that time to a fraction of what it was. It literally fits in my front pocket, and is simple to use. I wouldn't want to do my job without it.

This monitor allows you to make the right decision when it comes to troubleshooting video.. i can pull this monitor out and see if my device is sending content. Techtoolsupply.com always has what i need as a technician. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The unit is compact, has very good battery life, has most of the ports necessary to conduct security system camera and monitor testing. However, especially in these days, it does not have an RJ45 port (this is very important), the VGA port seems to only be PAL operational, and there are two (2) sets of operational buttons on the sides of the screen for some obscure reason. Which one to use is not intuitive.

Great tool to have in my truck. Small enough to fit in my back pocket! I was installing TVs at a hotel (nasty hotel) and half the TVs didn’t work. It was very nice to be able to verify my boxes where active!!
