Simply drop the ball chain with stop-ring attached through small hole from top of un-insulated wall. Let it slither to the bottom of the in-wall space by giving it a jiggle or two. Bend the flexible retriever into an S shape, feed it through a small hole at the bottom of the same wall up to the first turn of the S (as shown in photo). Flip back and forth until magnet finds and attaches itself to ball chain. Slowly retrieve ball chain to just inside the bottom hole. Using pocket retriever partially extended, catch ball chain with hook end and bring through bottom hole. Attach your wire or cable and pull up.
