    5 of 5 Looking At the Cable Prep 6/59 & 7/11. May 19, 2021
Reviewer: Paul Chudigian from Arlington, MA United States
The Cable Prep Super CPT Tool 6/59 & 7/11 works with RG 6, 59, 7 & 11 cables (dual, tri & quad shield).

The tool comes with two sets of blades (RG6/59 & 7/11)

The tool is large in size, but not much more so than similar tools. The plastic body is colored blue & yellow with yellow lettering (as seen in the provided picture).

To operate the tool, first make sure that the correct blades are installed in the tool. Change the blades as needed. To date, I have only worked with RG6 cable, so I have not had the need to switch the blades.

Next, squeeze the top & bottom sections to open the jaws, insert the coaxial cable into the proper slot while making sure to that the end of the cable stops flush with the edge of the tool), spin the tool clockwise until the sound of the braiding being cut stops, squeeze the tool's jaws together and pull it off of the cable.

The cable can now be prepped for the installation of a connector.

Looking forward to continued use of this tool.
