The Coax Genius was engineered by an industry veteran as a solution to the challenges that surround troubleshooting MDU (Multiple Dwelling Unit) RF distribution networks. Unforeseen obstacles, limited access, and complex layouts can all contribute to increased man hours resulting in reduced profitability. The Coax Genius drastically reduces troubleshooting time by quickly finding point A and point B on any RF distribution network regardless of the components that are installed between them. The Coax Genius is compact enough to fit in a tool pouch, and simple enough for a child to use.
Need to check for CATV Splitters? Once the Receiver finds the Remote, the Coax Genius will indicate if there are CATV components, such as a splitter, between the Receiver and Remote.
Work on DirecTV or DISH Systems? In addition to mapping, the Coax Genius will indicate when there is DC voltage present and the exact voltage found. It can also determine if the path from the Remote to the Receiver passes DC voltage.
Modes: The Coax Genius comes equipped with three different modes designed to help map and troubleshoot issues with RF systems:
- Genius Scan is the ultimate cable mapper. Simply connect the Remote to the location you want to map and the Receiver can find it at any point on the same RF system.
- Genius Tone operates similar to a conventional Toner Tracker, except Genius Tone is designed specifically for coaxial cable. Genius Tone uses a different signal type that is designed to go through splitters, taps, amplifiers and just about any RF component. Mapping cable through an RF system is effortless with Genius Tone.
- Genius Volt makes detecting and troubleshooting issues caused by AC or DC voltages on RF systems so much easier. Simply connect the Coax Genius, and it will immediately show you the exact AC or DC voltages that are present on the system.
