Arlington's low profile 5" x 8" TV BOX™ is ideal for flat screen TV installations on 1/2" or 5/8" drywall with wall cavity depths 3/4" and larger.

Applications in new work or retrofit include:
  • Furring strips on concrete block walls
  • 2x2, 2x3 and 2x4 or larger studs

    • The low profile TVL508 box is also helpful when plumbing or other obstructions run within the wall cavity. It has lots of room inside for multiple cables and brackets for tying them off - keeping the installation neat and organized.

    This junction box is very well built. It feels and looks high quality. It met my needs for supplying both high voltage and low voltage lines with just the right footprint. The company that makes it (Arlington) quickly answered the technical question that I had when I called them. The only thing that could be improved is the instruction sheet, but it was good enough. Install options are available for both new construction and for mounting in existing wall.

    I am pleased with the concept and think it makes for a professional installation. I have a couple problems with the product. I The instructions say to cut a hole 6 7/8 high. This leaves too large of a space if you ask me. I think the opening should be somewhat les for a tighter fit. 2. The screws provided to fasten the plastic parts are a bit too big, or the pre-drilled holes are too small. It's a tough job to screw in the various parts.
