The Holland Electronics high performance Attenuator series has been developed to meet high frequency performance requirements such as the SCTE 20 dB minimum return loss specifications. The HR series were designed to meet these requirements and improve performance of CATV and L band systems operating to 3 GHz.

Our radio station uses a 4.2 meter C-band dish with modern LNB feeding an amplified L-band distribution amplifier. Recent build outs of CBRS and other users adjacent to the lower edge of C-band have overloaded our system, creating undesired carriers which interfered with legit signals. Attenuating the LNB's signal before it hit the DA solved the problem. The daily fade count actually went to zero on several satellite receivers.
