What's so special about EZ-RJ45: The patented EZ-RJ45 Connector simplifies twisted pair terminations by allowing the wires to be inserted through the connector and out the front. This allows the technician to easily verify the proper wiring order. Electrical performance of the termination is optimized by pulling the connector down over the cable jacket and seating it tightly in the rear of the connector. Reducing the distance between the wire twists and contacts improves performance! Reduces scrap, no wasted crimps. More reliable, higher performance. We are huge fans of manufacturers that are forward thinking with their product development; the EXO Crimp Frame is a great example of that. As technology advances, wire and connectors are going to continue to evolve. Platinum Tools EXO Crimp Frame is engineered to allow users to swap out dies as needed and avoid having to purchase an entirely new tool. The EXO Crimp Frame has dies available for EZ-RJ45 (included) as well as the newer exEZ-RJ45 connectors (not included).
The patented EXO Crimp Frame + EZ-RJ45 Die from Platinum Tools was designed for easy termination of EZ-RJ45 connectors. The included EZ-RJ45 Die is interchangeable and reversible when used with the EXO Crimp Frame. The 100062C is designed for the original pass through EZ-RJ45 connectors which are a standard in the industry. The EXO Crimp Frame highlights a push button lock, ergonomic TPR handles, and works with the EXO-EX Die (Part Number PLA-100071C) for terminating ezEX-RJ45 connectors where cable diameters are larger.
In today’s networks, twisted pair cables are demanding more speed and bandwidth. To help meet these requirements, Cat5e/6/6A cables have increased in size. Both the outer diameter of the cable and the insulation diameter of the conductors are larger and vary by manufacturer, making cable and connector compatibility a challenge. The new patented ezEX-RJ45 Termination System is the solution — providing greater cable to connector compatibility to meet higher performance demands. The ezEX-RJ45 connectors feature a unique integrated Hi-Lo stagger load bar and allows ‘big’ conductors to pass through the front end of the connector making it easy to verify the wiring sequence before terminating.
